We created FOREPLAI for music lovers and music makers. We believe in:
not algorithms
Follow your favourite artists and labels to hear their newest music first (or older music in a new light).
not playlists
Discover the songs your friends, curators, and the people behind your favourite music love most.
not quantity
Spend your time, energy, and money on an experience that brings you connection and joy.
not trickery
Know exactly what you’re paying for and where all the money goes, including our share.
That’s why information, awareness, connection, and community are always free on FOREPLAI. A vibrant ecosystem of music lovers and music makers helps spread the love of music.
We don’t exploit music lovers or music makers to earn a profit. There are no games to manipulate your attention as a music lover. There are no schemes to reduce your income as a music maker.
We sell credits to music lovers and music makers, each with a different price (see below), but the credits all work the same.
For £10 / €10 plus VAT. Each play costs £0.04 / €0.04, which translates to:
Publishing royalty to rights holder(s): | 20% (0.008 per play) |

Service costs to our vendors: | 20% (0.008 per play) |
Company costs for our team: | 20% (0.008 per play) |
We debit one credit for every play. Fans also use play credits to share songs with others and pay for those plays.
Our FAQ has more information about how play credits work.
